I love making fitness a part of my every day routine. It keeps me healthy, mostly happy, and motivated in all aspects of life. So today I wanted to share some of my workout and health goals.
— I try to workout at least 4-5 times a week for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on what class I take. I’m all about waking up and getting my workout done first thing in the morning. I can really notice a difference after my morning workouts, it helps me feel refreshed and motivated to take on the day with my girls! Plus, did I mention that the gym I go to has an amazing child center! I think it’s important to incorporate both weight training and cardio in your exercise routine.
My daily workout routine:
Monday- C9- Tabata style training with both cardio and weights
Tuesday– Pilates followed by a 3-mile run
Wednesday– TCX (total conditioning extreme) an intense full body workout that incorporates weight and cardio training in a 3-part progression.
Thursday- Cycle or Barbell (depends on if I’m needing more weights or more cardio)
Friday– CRT (circuit resistance training) again, another combo cardio/weights class
Saturday & Sunday – I think my gym is closed on the weekends. ?? Joking, but I do try to enjoy my weekends with my family, and honestly I get a pretty good workout running around with my girls! ????
— I drink a lot of water throughout the day. I can always tell when I haven’t had 50 to 75 ounces of water a day. What has really helped me hit this goal is infusing fruit in my water. I got this water bottle from Anthropologie and I LOVE it! I also use it for making fruit tea as well. My favorite is lemon and strawberry water. It’s so good for your mind, body and skin!
— You can work it out all day every day, but if you don’t eat healthy…you truly won’t reach your full potential. Think greens and lean proteins. I love eating healthy fats like avocados, nuts and fish. I usually grab a protein smoothie after my workout in the morning. I also have been loving veggie burgers with an egg, tomato, jalapeño, arugula and hot sauce. One of my all time favorites!
Like I mentioned before, if you work hard you get to play hard too! On the weekends, I let myself eat and drink and be merry!
